Groove Repair in White Corian

Corian has been around for over 30 years and one of it’s first colors was Glacier White.  It’s still around and still a top seller.

I recently was in a Park Avenue apartment repairing Corian that was at least 25 years old.  It held up pretty well, except for a few cracks.  One was particularly large and dirty.  See below.

The customer did not have a repair piece so I couldn’t do a plug repair.  Instead I grooved out the crack, cleaned it and filled it with the matching glue.  You can see the result here.

If you look closely you see a faint line where I repaired the crack.  But, it’s a huge improvement over what it looked like before.  My customer was thrilled with the outcome and left us a great review on Yelp.  You can read it here: Yelp Review

Do you have older Corian (or any type of acrylic solid surface) that is cracked?  If you do contact me with some pictures of the damage and I can let you know if it’s repairable and the cost. Click here to send an email,  estimate email

Thanks!
